Rumple is looking for his forever family. Sadly his trial adoption did not work out so he is back with his loving foster father working on obedience, manners, and even gets to ride in a sidecar! Rumple did not do anything wrong it was just not a good fit. He has made great progress with his fear of riding in cars and has so much potential!
He is 2 years old, weighs 65lbs and and is a bully breed mix. He is other dog, cat and child friendly!
Rumple gets along with other dogs (we prefer if you have current dogs, that they’re young, large and active like Rumple) and has recently been cat tested and did great! Rumple likes children but can be rough sometimes, so preferably children over 10+ to avoid bumps and bruises, but will consider younger, and as always “dog respectful children” only.
Rumple is an active dog so someone who enjoys outdoors would be ideal! He is housebroken for the bathroom outside, he is non-destructive and does not use a crate/kennel indoors when left home alone. He can be occupied in the house with his toys and bones/antlers and is content. He enjoys cuddling and being extremely close to his humans, he’s a very affectionate boy who acts like a lap dog.
Rumple has made progress with walking on his leash, he is not a barker and is a quiet dog. He enjoys play time outside and shows great potential for recall off leash. Cuddling with you inside is a favorite thing of his to do.
Rumples foster dad has had him socialized at doggy day care and even has taken Rumple to obedience classes. He comes with a clean bill of health, microchipped, fully vetted including core vaccines, rabies and lepto, neutered and with his Nova Scotia health certificate. He has been treated for all parasites while in our care as well. His adoption fee is $350 which comes back to the rescue to help more dogs like Rumple.
